New Build Home Timeline Part One - Lot Clearing
This is the actual plot plan of the building lot. My daughter and her husband purchased lot #7. I think this will help you understand the project. The lot is just under one acre in size.
This is a typical plot plan survey document. You can see the property lines, the pins at all the corners and bends as well as the distances along the property lines. Don't even look at a lot unless you have this in your hands and you can read all the print on the document. Copyright 2018 Tim Carter
Week One - October 14, 2018
On October 15, 2018 the contractor began cutting trees to clear the space for the house. The lot was covered with hundreds of small, medium and large trees as you can see in the photo taken in January of 2018.

It took one week to just cut the trees down and stack the logs by the road. A large area had to be cleared as well for the septic leach field.
The following photo shows the lot as you'd see it looking back to the street. Note my daughter's black car behind the logs.
